January Jam at JJ's

Peacemakers!

As you dust off your heavy winter coat, your wool socks and put on several layers of shirts and sweaters as you prepare to head to Flagstaff to ring in the New Year with Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, we wonder: doesn't drinking a Mexican Moonshine margarita while watching the sun dip into Cholla Bay sound awfully good right about now?

We think so too!!

It's time to return to everyone's favorite second home, that Third World cantina on the beach next to the Sea of Cortez. It's the fourth annual January Jam at JJ's Cantina in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico on January 29.

Tickets go on sale Sunday!!!

The annual January Jam at JJ's has become one of the most anticipated RCPM concerts of the year. This is a chance for fans to see Roger, PH, Jim and Nick in an intimate and unique concert setting in the place that served as inspiration for many of Roger's most beloved songs.

This show WILL sell out. It has sold out early every year and there have not been any tickets available at the door. In other words, if you want to go, don't delay in getting your tickets!

Let's go down together Peacemakers to eat fish tacos, let our cups overflow under the glow of Mexican Moonshine and rock out to RCPM at JJ's Cantina!

Here's to life!

Hello New Year!

Hello New Year!

In New York they'll be watching the ball drop. But in Arizona, fans will raise their glasses, watch the clock turn counterclockwise and ring in the new year with two nights of high octane rock-n-roll from Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers.

Get ready to sing Auld Lang Syne and take a cup o' Mexican Moonshine as RCPM gets the New Year's festivities started a night early on Dec. 30 in Tucson before officially ringing in the new year the next night in Flagstaff.

If you still want to ride the Mexican Moonshine Express and let someone else do the driving on Friday, there are a few seats left! Get yours now at www.peacetimegoods.com , before they're gone!

If you already have your seat reserved, here are a few important points you need to remember:

*Wristbands will be handed out Friday after 4 p.m. at Four Peaks Tempe. The bus will leave the restaurant at 5 p.m. sharp! At Four Peaks Scottsdale, wristbands will be handed out at 5:20 p.m. when the bus arrives.

If you want to make sure you're not late and don't miss the bus, we encourage you to get to Four Peaks early. Happy hour prices start at 3 p.m.!

* The bus will drop off and pick up at San Felipe Cantina (where Mexican Moonshine will be flowing!) in Flagstaff, about one block from The Orpheum.

*On the way back home after the show, the party doesn't end! Four Peaks beer will be poured along with contest winner Bill Davis’ margaritas. Food will also be provided. Feel free to bring anything else you’d like such as snacks, water, light beer, etc. Please no glass containers.

*Unless you are contest winner Bill Davis, tickets to the show are NOT included with your bus wristband.

As many of you know, a storm is forecasted to roll through Flagstaff this week but should be done by Friday. The bus has chains if needed and is equipped for snow/ice, but we're remaining optimistic the storm will be over by Friday night. Still, if you're one of those Arizona residents who thinks 50 degrees is cold, you may want to heavily consider bringing a winter coat.

Get ready to two great nights of rock, and take a trip on the Mexican Moonshine Express to ring in the new year with Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers in Flagstaff!

A letter from Señor Clyne

Dear Happy and Important Person,

The more seasons I am privileged to enjoy, the more aware I become of how true the wise old maxim “time flies” really is.
This entire year, especially this Holy Day season, has hurried by me. Tomorrow has become yesterday so quickly, it seems that time has added rockets to its wings. At least I’ve found I’m not alone. Everyone around me, young and less young alike, is reeling from the rush.

I’ve been planning to write you a letter for some time now, but between perfecting procrastination and actually trying to be productive, that goal through the hourglass. So, I’ll try to keep this brief.

The main reason for my writing you is to express my gratitude for your attention. Your time is precious. It’s something we all literally “spend.”

I believe it is a fundamental human desire that we all want our time on earth, our actions, our existence, to have meaning.
Remember this question:
“If a tree falls in the forest, and no-one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?”
I answer with a simple, “yes.” (Why would we be so presumptuous as to insist nothing can exist without our observation?)

So then, if a rock band plays on a stage and no one is there to listen, does it make sound? Yes it does. I know. The question that follows, for me, is, “so what?” Does that sound have any meaning? (Does it have purpose or value?)

The simple act of observation is participatory. Once you’re participating, you’re co-creating. And I believe creation has meaning. We don’t always know what that meaning is in the “grand scheme of things,” but with a little intent, we can make our creation DO something; we can direct it. If all that our creation does is to make someone happier in some way, not necessarily for a lifetime, but even for a moment here and there… that is time well spent. It has meaning.

So if a rock band plays on a stage and no one is there to listen, does the music have meaning? If you’re there, the answer is “yes.” If you’ve spent any time with RCPM this year, whether through video, sound recordings, or being at our live shows, I thank you for your time, for your attention. You lend us our purpose, our value, our meaning. That’s what artists, what all humans, I believe, really desire. Gracias.

Time flies. Let it. We can’t stop it, after all. But by participating, by doing something together, we assure that what time leaves in its wake will have some meaning, some significance, even some beauty.
(So much for brevity!)

Peace be with you,
Roger

P.S.
Yes! RCPM will release a new album in early 2011.
Yes! The January Jam at JJ’s is a GO! (1/29/11).
Yes! I will take my favorite bartender’s advice and experiment with champagne and orange juice in order to create the Mexican Moonshine Mimosa by Christmas!

On Wednesday, Roger will be at Rocky Point Cantina, 1001 E 8th St, Tempe, to sign bottles of Mexican Moonshine, which can be purchased at the cantina. Also that day, we will be collecting shoes, socks and other clothing items for the Valley of the Sun United Way to help the homeless in Maricopa County.

On Dec. 30, all roads lead back to Tucson where RCPM will get the NYE's festivities started a night early by rocking The Rialto. The Tucson Community Food Bank will also be at the show that night collecting non-perishable food and cash donations.

Want to win a pair of tickets to the show?

We want you to create a RCPM-themed Holiday Card! Let your inner-Hallmark shine as you put together a card that is distinctly RCPM. Post your entry on our Facebook wall. The deadline is Dec. 28.

On Dec. 31, help us countdown the seconds and say Hello New Year as you ring in 2011 with RCPM in Flagstaff at the Orpheum.

You can win a pair of tickets to this show by coming up with the 12 Days of RCPM Christmas! For example:

On the first day of RCPM Christmas my true love gave to me, Roger singing under a palm tree
Two PH drum sticks
Three shots of Mexican Moonshine
etc.

The deadline for this contest is also Dec. 28.

But wait, there's more!

If you don't live in Flagstaff but still want to go to the show, you can get a seat on the Mexican Moonshine Express! Two buses will be leaving Tempe and Scottsdale and not only taking fans to the show, but feeding them and giving them drinks as well! You can find more details here, http://www.peacetimegoods.com/ptgshop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=&idproduct=1128.

We also are giving away two seats to ride the MM Express. This prize also includes two tickets to the show!

We want you to tell us what the best Mexican Moonshine margarita recipe is! We want you to post your margarita entry on our Mexican Moonshine Facebook wall. Entries must be submitted by Dec. 27. We will then pick a winner, even if it means making the recipes ourselves and sampling them. When it comes to contests, we are very dedicated.

In addition to bus and show tickets, the winner will also have their margarita recipe mixed and served on the bus!

Many exciting things happening between now and the end of the year Peacemakers. Get ready to rock in the New Year with Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers.

Yo Naffah Naffah

He's shared the stage with the likes of Dierks Bentley, Johnny Hickman, Alice Cooper, Kid Rock and Sammy Hagar
But on Dec. 5 at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, RCPM's very own PH Naffah had one of his most memorable performances ever when he shared the stage with some of TV's biggest stars: Muno, Foofa, Brobee and DJ Lance.
It was an unforgettable experience for adults and children alike as PH joined the “Kia Motors Presents Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! There’s a Party in My City” tour in Phoenix.

Mexican Moonshine CD

Peacemakers,

This just in: Mexican Moonshine is a huge success!

The demand from fans wanting to let their cups overflow under the glow of the Moonshine has been outstanding. Gracias to everyone who has purchased a bottle or had it poured at their favorite restaurant!

Each bottle you buy also comes with a CD sampler of some of RCPM's most beloved songs.

Recently, we got the bottles filled, but we apparently were enjoying the tequila too much and accidently hit "stop" about :30 seconds early while burning CDs. Unfortunately, that means several CD's that were already shipped out, have the last little bit of Americano! cut off.

We want to make good on this and make sure everyone who received a shortened CD gets the full length version.

There are several ways we are doing this:

a) You can download Americano! at Peacetime Goods for FREE! The link is at:

http://www.peacetimegoods.com/ptgshop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=45&idproduct=138

If you like, you can also download six other RCPM classics for free, even if you haven't purchased any Mexican Moonshine yet. All the songs are part of The Magnificent 7, a seven song collection of some of RCPM's most beloved tunes. The Magnificent 7 is also the perfect introduction to RCPM for new fans.

http://www.peacetimegoods.com/ptgshop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=&idproduct=951

b) If you prefer having an actual CD, you can send your faulty CD to:

RCPM
c/o Expert Assistants
25829 N. 41st. Drive
Phoenix, Arizona 85083

And we'll send you a new one!

We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to falling under the spell of the Moonshine with everyone in the future!

Gracias!

Survey: Would you buy a bus package to see RCPM on NYE?

Peacemakers,

RCPM is very excited to ring in the new year in Flagstaff at the Orpheum Theatre! We want to pack the theatre and celebrate life through rock-n-roll with all of our friends. But we also want everyone to celebrate safely. So RCPM wants to find out if you're interested in letting us take wheel? We will handle the throttle AND we'll even steer!

RCPM wants to know how many of you are interested in a bus package from Phoenix to Flagstaff on New Year's Eve? The cost would be about $50 per person. That would NOT include a ticket the show. You will be on your own to get that. But it WILL include drinks and some food.

Specific details about the trip will be released later. Right now, we just want to know if there's enough interest amongst Peacemaker fans to make this happen? Please take a few seconds to go to the following link and vote whether you would take advantage of such a deal if we decide to do it.

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/KFVY7DX

A bus trip to Flagstaff and back on New Year's Eve! It's going to be a great evening of friends pouring through the front gates of Orpheum that may last all night!

The Game Is In Us

If you were at Circus Mexicus in June you know there were three things on Roger's mind: Rock, Mexican Moonshine, and soccer.
RCPM will be bringing the rock to fans across the U.S. again in September. Rog's very own Mexican Moonshine tequila will debut in the United States before the end of the year. Now, all we need is soccer!

Many of you enjoyed in the thrill of watching the World Cup while in Rocky Point, and then continued to watch at home as the U.S. team and Landon Donovan won their group in dramatic fashion, moving on the elimination round.

Now, Roger, Landon and many soccer fans like them, would like to see the World Cup, soccer's greatest tournament, return to America!

A month ago, Landon Donovan challenged Americans to reach one million supporters in the U.S. Bid Committee's effort to host the FIFA World Cup.

Anyone who invites at least five friends to join the Bid will be eligible to win a soccer ball signed by the entire U.S. Men's National team. Send your invitations for a chance to win to:

http://gousabid.com/ball

Currently, the bid is at more than 910,000.

With one million voices shouting "The Game Is In US!" you know that FIFA will hear us.

Gracias Peacemakers!

Play On!

Hóla Peacemakers,

Mañana, I have two very important priorities. Number one, as always, is to give my all and play the best rock and roll show I have in me that night. Number two is to find a TV somewhere in Ferndale, Michigan by noon and watch Spain vs. The Netherlands Final 2010 World Cup Match!

Tomorrow two teams will once again make history. Only one will emerge the match victorious. (I’ll give you a hint who it will be: The nation’s name rhymes with SPAIN!)
Whoever wins, this year’s World Cup has been phenomenal. If you’ve been tuning in, you already know. If you haven’t, please check out the Final tomorrow and find out why football, soccer, fútbol represents so much to so many. To quote from the GOUSABID site,

“It is a game where individuals shine through participation, talent and creativity—but team success results from hard work, sacrifice and dedication to a common cause.

It is a democratic game that requires nothing more than a ball, a patch of ground and the passion to play.

It is the world's game, and America, with its rich diversity, is a uniquely globalized nation. We are the world's melting pot, and we have brought the game with us from every corner of the earth.”

The sport brings people together and brings out the best in both players and fans.
It’s a global unifying force. It undeniably does what I hope our music, in some small way, can do.

So tomorrow, get together with friends, family even strangers and cheer on your team. (The Netherlands will need all the help they can get…!)
If you have or do (or eventually will) enjoy the sport, please consider adding your name to the petition to bring the World Cup to the USA in 2018/2022. I’ve signed on.

www.GOUSABID.com

I’d like to congratulate and thank our very own Team USA for doing us all proud in this year’s World Cup. Well done, gentlemen. Thank you.

And here’s few words of both gloat and gratitude I’d also like to share.
RCPM’s first annual “Rock and Soccer Tournament” in Rocky Point last month was a ton of fun and, by all reports and measures, a huge success. Together we raised a goodly amount of money for the local charities (all proceeds were donated to the Larry Large Foundation which directs its funds and efforts towards everything from obtaining fire hoses for the city to providing local schools with new windows and lockers) and we all had a great time doing it!

And, yes, it’s true that my team, Mexican Moonshine, took home the Cup (it’s a margarita glass)! Despite any speculation or rumor to the contrary, I do hereby swear that I gave my team no special treatment or advantage in any way. Except that my team was the only one to have odd numbers on our jerseys. Yes, I made every other team play, literally, against the ODDS!
We’ll be back next year to defend our title (I still have about 330 days left of uncontested bragging rights!) and I hope you’ll consider either signing up to play or coming out to cheer on the teams. If demand is high, we may include more teams on more pitches and even create a kids’ tier. Please stay tuned.

I’d like to thank all the players, spectators and sponsors for making our first tourney a huge success for all! (And another giant “muchas gracias” goes out to Greg Ross, the tournament’s coordinator. And all the officials, too!)

Four Peaks Brewing
Team Sponsors:
Mexican Moonshine
Mercedes Rústicos
Xochitl’s Café
Sunset Cantina

Again, muchas gracias!

Watch the World Cup tomorrow!
RCPM will be on tour through the whole month of July.
I hope we’ll see you and we’ll be sharing new music and Mexican Moonshine very soon.
Until then, get together, stay together and play on!

Roger

Moonshine Update

Hola amigos y amigas!

First we raised our glasses in Mexico and said ¡Salúd! Then we made the exciting announcement that your heart and your cup would soon be able to overflow in the United States.

Now we have more news about how you can get Roger Clyne's Mexican Moonshine stocked in a liquor store near you this summer!

Mexican Moonshine now has its own website filled with information about Señor Clyne's triple-distilled, extremely smooth Blue Agave tequila.

If you want Mexican Moonshine in your hometown, here's what you need to do: Go to www.mexicanmoonshine.com, click the "Find It" section at the top, then scroll down where it asks you to enter your zip code.

As we announced previously, Pacific Edge Imports in Agoura Hills, CA, will be distributing Mexican Moonshine in America. They hope to receive their first shipment in a couple of weeks. In addition to entering your zip code, you need to call your local liquor store and tell them to call Pacific Edge at 818-879-0946 and order Mexican Moonshine!

If you're planning on crossing the dusty Mexican borderlands in the near future and heading down to Rocky Point, Mexican Moonshine is still available for purchase at Vazquez Liquors in Sonoyta just after entering Mexico (via Lukeville, AZ) and JJ’s Cantina in Cholla Bay. Just remember only one liter per adult is allowed into the states.

Moonshine is also being poured in Rocky Point at Latitude 31, Sunset Cantina, Max’s Café, the Sonoran Grill and JJ’s Cantina.

Muchas Gracias and stay tuned.
Mexican Moonshine is on the way!

Tulsa 6/22

Peacemakers,

Cain's Ballroom has been called the Carnegie Hall of western swing. But the venue also famously hosted the Sex Pistols in 1978, one of only four U.S. shows for the Sex Pistols that year. The show has become a part of rock folklore.

Tonight (6/22), Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers make their mark on the historic venue that today hosts the best in rock, country and alternative music.

We need to get the word out the RCPM is playing tonight. Here's what we need YOU to do: Find a website or message board that is frequented by Tulsa music fans. Make a posting promoting tonight's show. Then send an email to peacekeeper08@hotmail.com or tippy13kdg@gmail.com to tell us about your post. The best one will be invited to visit the merch booth tonight at pick out $25 worth of swag. Postings on any of RCPM's web pages don't count. We want others who may not already be going to the show to hear about RCPM.

Gracias all!

Mexican Moonshine update!

Peacemakers!

Many of you basked in the glow of the Mexican Moonshine during Circus Mexicus weekend. Fresh from the distiller, we weren't exactly sure how or where we were going to distribute it. But with some help from a ma and pa (mostly pa) home grown service to the RCPM society, we managed to set up shop, get the word out to you, and you responded. Gracias!

Even though a good number of you bought bottles of Mexican Moonshine, as luck would have it, there are still some left in Rocky Point that we weren't able to take back with us. So if you're headed down to Puerto Peñasco for a weekend vacation, some R&R, or simply because you're thirsty, you can still let your cup overflow with the Moonshine. JJ's Cantina now has Mexican Moonshine for sale, by the bottle or poured by the cup to quench your thirst.

Mexican Moonshine is available for sale by the bottle at the following locations:

JJ's Cantina
Reggie's 8/12
Latitude 31
Vasquez (in Sonoyta)

And it is being poured at:

JJ's Cantina
Sunset Cantina
Sonoran Grille in the Sonoran Spa.

It’s surreal, sublime, manmade and divine. It's Roger Clyne's very own triple filtered and double distilled, extremely smooth tequila, Mexican Moonshine!

If you're in Rocky Point, pick up a bottle or two of your own.

¡Salúd!

Rock and Soccer FAQ

Circus Mexicus Rock and Soccer Tips and FAQs
Peacemakers!
The biggest rock and roll fiesta of the summer is this week! Circus Mexicus 2010 is now just a few days away and the good folks in Rocky Point are busy stocking their bars, their taco stands and their salsa dishes in preparation for your arrival.
In addition, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are very excited and pleased to present their first annual Circus Mexicus Rock and Soccer Tournament on Sandy Beach on Saturday. A lot of people have been working really hard to make this event possible. Even if you're not playing, we encourage everyone to come out and support the players. Some have real soccer playing experience. Some are weekend warriors. Some probably don't know a throw-in from corner kick. And some may be battling hangovers from JJ's the night before. All of them could use your cheers!
To give you an idea of what to expect, we've put together a sort of checklist. Some of the restaurants and resorts in the area are offering some great deals on food and drinks during the beach soccer tournament. To the players, a reminder to STAY HYDRATED! We love beer as much as the next fan, but it's also expected to be very warm during the tournament and we want everyone to have fun and be safe at the same time. Remember to drink water or Gatorade too!
List of beach soccer things to do:
Before you leave
· Bring socks, soccer balls to practice with and water. Game balls will be provided.
· Bring beach chairs and a tent if you have one.
· Make sure you know where the concert venue is ahead of time. You’ll park in the lots behind the stage at Sonoran Spa and Sea.

When you get there
· Friends and family are welcome and encouraged to hang out on the beach all day.
· Park in either parking lot of the Sonoran Sun or Sea and go through either lobby to beach.
· If you're not already a guest at the Spa or Sea, the condos ask each non guest sign-in before heading out to the beach.
Amenities such as the pool are for condo guests only, but the bar and restaurants are open.
Players must be at the beach no later than 9:30am, the earlier the better. Please check in at the red tent and get your team shirt.
· We’ll go over the format, rules and schedule just before 10:00. All first round matches will take place at either 10:00 or 10:30 sharp.
· There will be two bars on the beach selling discounted cervezas, margaritas, soda and water as well as a local taco stand selling inexpensive carne asada tacos and quesadillas.
While you play
· Basic rules: Each game is 25 minutes switching goals after 12 minutes, no halftime. There is no offside, each re-start is kicked no throw-ins. Goalkeepers either throw or kick ball on the ground to re-start, no punts.
· No shoes, socks are ok and encouraged as Sandy Beach, despite its name, can be a little course.
· If you're like us, you're excited about the World Cup, which will start on Friday. Chango’s will be showing the US v England match on Saturday. Chango's is a 5 minute walk from the beach. Please make sure you’re back on the beach at least 10 minutes before your next match.
· 4 players plus a goalkeeper are on field during play, substitutions can be made whenever and as often as you want.
· Each team has a minimum of 2 games. Please be on time and know when your next match is.
· Tunes will be playing on a PA system throughout the day.
Afterward
· Awards for 1st and 2nd place will be given right after final match scheduled for 2:00pm.
· Please make sure you throw your trash out and pick up your stuff before leaving.
· Pace yourselves…
Thank you Four Peaks Brewery, Chango’s, Sunset Cantina, Max’s Café, Mercedes Rusticos, Xochitl’s Cholla Bay, Heffernans/Realty Executives, Roger Clyne’s Mexican Moonshine and Head Out to Rocky Point Shuttle.

Welcome Smith Optics!

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are happy to have Smith Optics as one of this year's sponsors for Circus Mexicus!

Give Your ID Card to the Border Guard

We realize there are probably a few of you who neglected to apply for or renew your passport or passport card.

The good news is, YOU CAN STILL GO TO CIRCUS MEXICUS!!!!

But you need a valid driver's license AND a receipt proving that you have purchased a passport and it's "in the mail," but you just didn't get it in time for Circus Mexicus.

On June 1, 2009, U.S. citizens crossing the border were required to present either a passport, passport card, Enhanced Driver's License (EDL), or Trusted Traveler Program Cards. Recently, however, on his way back from Rocky Point, Roger stopped at the Lukeville Port of Entry and talked about his I.D. card with the border guard. According to them, you can STILL cross the border as long as you have a valid driver's license along with a receipt showing that you have applied for a passport and paid for it. We still would advise everyone to get a passport or passport card and not rely on your driver's license each year. But for next week, it appears a driver's license and receipt is all you need.

Circus Mexicus weekend promises to be the biggest RCPM fiesta of the year. You won't want to miss it. Make your plans now to attend Circus Mexicus 2010!

RCPM Rock and Soccer Team #1

RCPM Rock and Beach Soccer Featured Team of the Day is…

Team HeadOutToRockyPoint.com

Spearheaded by the brains behind bringing a Circus Mexicus banner to the US National Team game in Philadelphia over Memorial Day weekend in front of 55,000 people, HeadOutToRockyPoint.com boasts the most non-Arizonan Gringos of any team in the tournament. They hail from places like Maryland, Michigan and Colorado and rumor has it, cumulatively has attended over 673 RCPM shows to date in 5 countries. They’ve got a good mix of experienced soccer players, experienced drinkers and has the youngest participant who’ll no doubt run circles around those who still haven’t bothered to train yet.

They are sponsored by Head Out To Rocky Point founders Mike and Lynelle who have been going down to Rocky Point for years. In fact, they enjoy it so much they used their passion for Arizona’s Beach to start a shuttle service that picks you up (including Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport!!!!) and takes you to wherever your destination is in Rocky Point. You let them know when you’re ready to come home and they’ll take you back worry and stress free. Mike and Lynelle haul lots of Peacemakers down together throughout the year, so don’t hesitate to give them a call at 866-443-2368 or email at headout@cox.net . Thanks for supporting those who help make Circus Mexicus happen each year. Buena suerte amigos!

Mile High and on TV

RCPM will be mile high and risin' next week, and gaining Altitude as they go!

Roger, PH, Nick and Jim are touring Colorado before heading down to Rocky Point for Circus Mexicus 2010.

During their performance on Sat. May 29 at the Denver Day of Rock festival, fans who come to the show will not only get another outstanding performance by the band, but they may even bee seen on TV from coast-to-coast!

RCPM have been selected by the folks at the Altitude Sports and Entertainment network to be part of their "On Stage" music series. The band's performance in Denver on May 29 will be recorded and played back on Altitude TV (available on both DirecTV and Dish) starting July 6 and replayed many times throughout the year.

The band is encouraging all their Colorado friends and anyone else who wants to be part of this experience, to show up with your singing voices warmed up and ready to go. Then, starting July 6, you can watch highlights from that day's performance on TV in addition to interviews with the band, which will be taped at a different time.

Circus Mexicus List of Things to Do

Fiesta is number one. Siesta is number two. Attention all you pirates, banditos, beach bums, fat-native-skinny-dippin-semi-professional tourists, borracheros y cancioneros, it is time once again to reconvene at the little town south of the border nestled against the Sea of Cortez where high tides and high spirits flow under the glow of the stars and the Mexican Moonshine. It's time for Circus Mexicus 2010, and this year promises to be our best yet! Circus Mexicus weekend is officially three days of events in Rocky Point, Mexico, and some of our friends in Arizona are helping us stretch it into four days. So rest up, pace yourselves, and get ready for the biggest RCPM fiesta of the year! To help everyone keep track of all the events going on, we've put together a timeline of some of the big events during the weekend, leaving plenty of room, of course, for you to make some of your own plans and get out to the beach, the shops and many of the fine restaurants Puerto Peñasco has to offer.

¡FIESTA ANTES DE LA FIESTA GRANDE!

Thurs. June 10

Circus Mexicus pre-party at the Four Peaks Brewery, 1340 East 8th Street, Tempe, AZ. Drink specials from 4-6pm. RCPM music on the PA system. The club will be giving away band merch all night. Also returning by popular demand, Jason Boots and Random Karma. Donations for hot dogs and soda appreciated. All proceeds go to benefit the children at Esperanza Para Los Niños Orphanage. Hola Señor Norrell!

Peacemakers,

As most of you know, Roger, PH, Nick and Jim had visions of traveling to Nashville to record their next album. Unfortunately, due to the floods that have devastated the area, RCPM will be unable to accomplish that goal at this time. Everyone in the band wishes the residents of Nashville a speedy recovery and we look forward to working with those fine people in the future.

In the meantime, there are a couple of credos in the rock-n-roll community. One is the show must go on. Another is rock-n-roll is all about spontaneity and works best when it's not scripted. That's why Roger and crew are going to go with the flow, head down to Rocky Point, take their good friend, producer/mixer/engineer/trumpet player extraordinaire Clif Norrell ("Fizzy, Fuzzy, Big & Buzzy," "No More Beautiful World," "Turbo Ocho") along for good measure, and cut an album.

The band is very excited to work with Clif again as well as getting their new songs recorded and out to the fans! The day after Roger and PH wrap up their current acoustic tour of California and get back to Arizona, they will hop in their cars and drive down to Mexico with the others. In other words, they're headed down to Mexico one week from today!

If you'd like to help our friends in Nashville, you can made donations at http://www.cfmt.org/floodrelief/. Our friends from Smart Choice Music are also still auctioning some items on ebay, including some RCPM goodies, at http://shop.ebay.co.uk/manassas77/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg= with all proceeds going to Nashville.

Thanks everyone. The band is looking forward to getting new music to you soon!

Rock-n-roll...it's not just a job, it's an adventure!

Rock and Soccer - Quickly Approaching!

Hola amigos y amigas,

With just over a month to go until the first annual beach soccer tournament at Circus Mexicus, we thought we'd kick things off with some tips, suggestions and misc info.

Please make sure your entire team is on Sandy Beach in front of the Sonoran Spa and Sea by 9:30 AM Saturday June 12 for check in. Matches start at 10, all teams will be playing at 10 or 10:30. Also, please make sure you leave your counterclockwise watch at home. We've got to keep this tournament on time or else the band will be without their singer for sound check. Not good.

Each team needs to bring their own equipment to warm up with, match balls will be supplied. Consider bringing some type of socks (no soled shoes) so you don't blister. Assume it's going to be hot although Poseidon normally blows a cool breeze from the southwest all weekend. If you have pop up tent(s) bring them along with beach chairs and your own water.

All of our team slots are currently full. But everyone is invited to come down to the beach and cheer everyone on. A limited supply of extra soccer jerseys will be available on a first come first served basis with proceeds from all things soccer going to the Larry D. Large Foundation benefitting several local charities.

Our Circus Mexicus partner Chango's Bar and Grill will be providing suds for sale and we'll have the requisite Mexican street meat taco stand. Please support them all weekend, gracias.

Circus Mexicus weekend starts with a pre-party at Four Peaks in Tempe on Thursday June 10th starting at 4... a great way to meet up and plan everything from caravans to contraband.

Don't forget the FREE Hot Dog and a Smile show at JJ's Friday night. Three bands (Railbenders, Jason Boots, Random Karma), no cover, just bring an appetite for weiners and household goods for La Esperanza children's home. The Mañanathon is Sunday afternoon for those who still haven't had enough.

Get your family, friends and enemies down to Rocky Point June 12 to watch you play during the day and party all night with the best band on the planet. Tickets for the concert are on sale at www.azpeacemakers.com for $30. Tickets will be also be available the day of the show at the gate for $35. Children are free with paying adult.

Lastly and most important... prepare yourself and friends for a killer night of rock n roll. Mariachis @6, Eddie Spaghetti with the Railbenders @7, and RCPM starting a long night @8. Come one, come all. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Hasta luego,
Rock and Soccer peeps

Nashville Flood Relief

Peacemakers,

RCPM and Smart Choice Music, our friends who helped us put together our tour of the UK in February, want to extend a helping hand to those affected by the flooding in Tennessee. Smart Choice has put several items up for auction to raise money for the relief effort, including a package of RCPM goodies. The following is a message from Smart Choice on how you can help.

Gracias!

Everyone will by now be aware of the devastating floods that have hit Nashville and the surrounding areas. As country music fans with many friends and extended family in Music Cityour thoughts are with everyone affected.

For the latest information, please visit the website of the local newspaper The Tennessean (http://www.tennessean.com/) for all thedetails and updates.

Living several thousand miles away we are left feelinghelpless in being not able to offer any practicalhelp. So, the best we can do at this point is try to raise awareness and help with fundraising.

We have set up some charity auctions on eBay of a fewrare items, and all of the proceeds of these sales will go to the relief fund. Please take a look at our auctions (http://shop.ebay.co.uk/manassas77/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=), and give generously to help the community that is suffering so badly.

Alternatively, you can donate to the flood relief directly by visiting the Community Foundation website (http://www.cfmt.org/floodrelief/).

If anyone has any interestingitems that we could auction to raise additional funds, then please contact us by replying to this message.

Circus Mexicus Kickoff Party

Circus Mexicus Kickoff Party!

We are just over a month away from returning to the sandy beaches next to the Sea of Cortez where hide tides and high spirits flow amongst the aroma of a salty ocean breeze mixes with street taco vendors.

Of course Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers will have 3+ hours of high octane, tequila-soaked rock-n-roll on Saturday, June 12th, along with Eddie Spaghetti and the Railbenders. Jim Dalton will pull double duty on Friday night at JJ's during PH's Hot Dog & A Smile charity BBQ along with Jason Boots and Random Karma.

A common question we get each year, however, is what about a pre-party in Tempe on Thursday? This year, one of Tempe's iconic establishments, the Four Peaks Brewery, is hosting a Circus Mexicus Kickoff Party on Thursday, June 10th. Hot Dog & A Smile

Roger, PH, Nick and Jim believe you need to give away what you want to receive. After all, every time you give a dollar away, you find two more on the way.

In keeping with their tradition of giving back to the community, PH Naffah is once again hosting his Hot Dog & A Smile charity concert and BBQ at JJ's on Friday, June 11 with all proceeds to benefit Esperanza Para Los Ninos. PH will also be collecting any household items you'd like to donate to the orphanage. Please no food donations or perishable items.

In addition to PH keeping the grill warm all night, on stage The Railbenders, Jason Boots and Random Karma will heat the summer night up even more with several hours of country and rock.

Circus Mexicus weekend starts in Rocky Point this year on June 11 at JJ's, the inspiration for many of RCPM's beloved songs.

Don't miss the party!

AZ Highways Tour

All roads lead back to Tucson.....and to Flagstaff, Sedona, Prescott, Bisbee and Tombstone as well!

Roger, PH, Nick and Jim have been busy writing and rehearsing songs for their next album. But they're anxious to get out of the house and play some shows! So starting Apr. 22 in Sedona, the boys will take a quick lap around the state for the Arizona Highways Tour.

These special concerts will truly be a unique and fun experience for everyone as RCPM travels to places they rarely get to play. The first three shows in Sedona, Flagstaff and Prescott will be RCPM Acoustic Trio. Hometown boys Roger, PH and Nick will treat fans to all the beloved RCPM and Refreshments classics delivered in a way rarely heard.

Jim then joins up with the band for a series of full-throttle rock shows at venues RCPM doesn't get to play often. Fans will not want to miss these special shows!

As a ''thank you' from RCPM for those who will be following the band from town to town, a special offer is available for the Tombstone, Tucson and Bisbee concerts. The first 100 people to buy a 3-show pass (www.rialtotheatre.com) will receive a free Corzo tequila drink and RCPM merch!

The Prescott show in front of the city courthouse is free. Fans are encouraged to bring canned food items for a corresponding food drive that day.

Roger was born and raised in Arizona, don't ya know, and he and the rest of RCPM are eager to give the home crowd a unique and memorable concert tour and to raise a glass and say, "¡Salúd!"
