Circus Mexicus Schedule of Events!!!

Peace Core!

It's time again to pack your pancho and sandals and throw away your shoes. Circus Mexicus is quickly approaching, and fans will once again be celebrating life through rock-n-roll in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico. This is a weekend not to be missed by any Peacemaker fan as we say "hello" to some old friends and "farewell for now" to an old tradition.
The Circus Mexicus celebration on Oct. 11 will mark our last fall Mexico concert for awhile. More details on the 2009 show will be given at a later date. For now, how would you feel about a weekend with RCPM, Massy Ferguson, Tramps and Thieves and more?

RCPM is proud to announce a full bevy of entertainment during Friday night's "Hot Dog and A Smile" charity BBQ with PH Naffah, featuring Tramps and thieves, Random Karma and Jason Boots.

Here's the lineup for the three day fiesta:

Friday, Oct. 10

6 p.m. — Join PH for the barbecue at JJ's Cantina, a charity event with all proceeds going to Esparanza Para Los Niños. For a donation, fans can kick back with friends, listen to music and enjoy a hot dog, all while contributing to a great cause. It will also be your first chance to see Dave Adams' Hot Dog & A Smile contest winning design come to life on T-shirts that will be available for purchase. We'd like to extend a BIG thank you again to everyone who submitted entries.
More information on the orphanage can be found at www.esperanzaparalosninos.com.

While eating a hot dog, enjoy the music of:

Remember, JJ's is currently the only place you can find Mexican Moonshine tequila. Don't miss out on this opportunity!

Matchingdonor.com

Give The Gift of Life, Become An Organ Donor

There are currently more than 99,500 people on a waiting list in the United States to receive an organ transplant, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Every 12 minutes a new name is added to the waiting list. Every 18 minutes, a person on the list dies because they couldn't find a donor.
Through the first half of this year, there were nearly 7,000 organ donations made in the United States, giving others a second chance at life. Sometimes organs were donated to loved ones, while other times the patient was a complete stranger.
Regardless, the results were the same: people whose life expectancies were limited got another chance to play catch with their sons and daughters, hold their grandchildren, walk in the mountains or feel the sand between their toes as they stroll along a beach.
For 10 years now, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers and all of our fans have celebrated life through rock-n-roll. We all raise a toast each performance and proclaim, "Here's to life!" By becoming an organ donor, the Peace Core community can do more than simply celebrate life, they have the ability to actually save a life.
For the tens of thousands of people waiting for a donor, they know they are in a race against time. The odds of finding a donor or having their name come up on the list before it's too late, are small.
PH Naffah knows first-hand the frustrations of waiting for a donor. PH's father-in-law is in need of a kidney transplant. All his life, Sheldon Blechman has cared for others. And even in his failing health, Mr. Blechman still continues to provide aid to his family, friends, and community.
Mr. Blechman's story, as well as hundreds of others like him, can be found at the website www.matchingdonors.com. The website, which has been featured on CNN, tries to help patients in need of organs get in touch with donors.
You can also find out more about organ donation at organdonor.gov. Every state has a place you can register to be an organ donor, and most all states have a place you can declare you're an organ donor on your driver's license.
Even if you can't donate an organ, there are other ways to help, such as the Kidney Car program sponsored by the National Kidney Foundation. More information can be found at www.kidney.org.
By becoming an organ donor, you have the opportunity to give one of the greatest gifts one can give.

Thank You For Your Time..

Ok. Orphans! Listen to PH-Ignacio.

A Hot Dog & A Smile :-)

P.H. is bringing the mustard. JJ's will supply the cervezas. Now all we need is you to come up with a cool logo!

Coming up next month during Circus Mexicus weekend, P.H. Naffah will once again host a charity BBQ to benefit Esparanza Para Los Niños. This private, non-profit group provides a home to about 30 orphans. You can find more information at http://www.esperanzaparalosninos.com.

"A Hot Dog & A Smile" will happen Oct. 10 at JJ's Catina. All proceeds go to Esparanza Para Los Niños.

We've taken care of the food and drinks. But what we don't have is a creative design for the event that we can put on a T-shirt. That's why we need you! Are you an artist? Have you ever wanted to be an artist? RCPM wants to see your skills! Whether you're a Monet-in-waiting or a person who never got past color-by-numbers, we invite you to submit your logo suggestion to us.

The design must include the name of the event, "A Hot Dog & A Smile" and the date, Oct. 10, 2008. Other than that, let your creative juices flow. The rest is up to you.

The contest is open to fans of all ages. Entries must be submitted by midnight Sept. 20. That means the night of the 19th going into the morning of the 20th. Not the 21st. All entries should be sent to info@azpeacemakers.com. The winner will be announced Monday, Sept. 22.

Remember you can still order advance tickets to the Circus Mexicus concert on Oct. 11 right here at www.azpeacemakers.com.

¡Gracias Peace Core! And ¡Buena Suerte!

RCPM Records LIVE in Teaneck, NJ @ Mexicali Live!!

|| Wave Distribution to sponsor live recording ||

Rockers ROGER CLYNE & THE PEACEMAKERS are inviting their East Coast friends to be part of a very special live recording when the band performs at Mexicali Live Friday night, Sept. 19 in Teaneck, NJ. Tickets are on-sale now for the all-ages show for $15 / $20 day of show.

No strangers to recording live (RCPM’s acclaimed 2008 CD/DVD “VivaCast” release, Turbo Ocho, chronicled the amazing process of producing 8 new songs in 8 days), the band’s electric performance in Teaneck will be captured live and bottled up for years to come, thanks to Wave Distribution, Empirical Labs and Burl Audio.

“I saw a Distressor in the Turbo Ocho video, and reached out to the band through their producer Cliff Norrell to see if there would be any interest in checking out the rest of the gear that Wave Distribution distributes, including the Empirical Labs Lil FrEQ equalizer and FATSO tape simulator, as well as the Burl Audio Analog-to-Digital converters and Mic Pres,” Wave Distribution’s Gil Griffith, whom is sponsoring the event, said.

“I thought it would be great to capture a live RCPM show incorporating all of those products by utilizing my friend Kooster McAllister's Record Plant Remote mobile recording studio. The Record Plant Remote has been involved with Wave Distribution and Empirical Labs since 1996, and both the Distressor and the FATSO have been a part of the R.P.R. signal path for years. On behalf of Empirical Labs and Burl Audio, Wave Distribution is pleased to sponsor the live recording of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers at Mexicali Live.”

The new site...

¡Hola Peace Core!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out the new website. We're sure you've found there are many great features already available to you. And we're not done yet! New content will continuously be uploaded to give you the complete Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers on-line experience.

If you haven't had a chance to explore everything yet, allow us to give you a brief introduction.

First off, as you grab your box of popcorn, we're sure you've noticed our vintage Cine Mexicano movie-style posters, complete with our own RCPM spin. Like the promotional poster for "It Came From the Sonoran Desert" says, we hope the graphics rock your world.

Want to know when the Peacemakers will be coming to your town? Check out our improved Tour Dates page. And after the show, post comments, reviews, set lists or photos of your RCPM experience. There are now several places you can be a concert reviewer or simply give a shout out to friends you saw at the show. The traditional "Show Reviews" section on the Board (aka, The former Waterin' Hole), is still around. But, you can also visit the "Upcoming" or "Past Shows" sections of the "Tour" page where you now have the option of posting comments about each individual concert.

Have you checked out the "Bio" section yet with new photographs of our compadres guapos? You can find out who has Rage Against the Machine cranked in the tour bus and who's rockin' out to "Dreamweaver."

There are many new fans joining the Peacemaker community and may have common questions, such as wanting to know if there's any meaning behind that starfish-looking petroglyph thingy. We invite you to look at our FAQ's page for the answer.

We here at RCPM are especially excited about the new Media section. It's a very easy to follow guide to all the albums and songs of Roger from Turbo Ocho all the way back to the earliest days of The Refreshments. Wondering what exactly El Capitan is saying during Interstate? Look it up in the lyrics section. There are also videos available at your fingertips ranging from "Goon Squad" to the semi-regular video-diaries the boys have taken while on the road.

As always, Peacetime Goods is still available for all your RCPM swag needs.

And last but not least, The Message Board! In addition to posting about Peacemaker topics that are on your mind, talking about Circus Mexicus and getting on your soap box to share your views and opinions with others, there is now also a place to talk about ways to protect the environment and remain politically active both nationally and in your own community.

Remember, the message board is a place to express your views and share your ideas with others. It's a place where information is exchanged and opinions shared.

However, we would like to add as a gentle reminder that there are still rules on The Board that need to be followed. First off, our board is for fans of all ages. Please try to keep the content as family friendly as possible. And even though something might not be your cup of tea, that doesn't mean someone else might not enjoy it. Do not rip on a fellow Peacemaker that might ask a question you think is RCPM 101. Believe it or not, not everyone has every fact about every band member memorized. And not everyone was fortunate enough to hear the Peacemakers back in 1999. New fans are discovering the band all the time, and we want them to feel as welcome as the old school crowd. A lot of "noobs" are discovering that for the first time that same excitement we all had the first time we heard Honky Tonk Union or even back to Fizzy Fuzzy. Being negative for the sake of being negative won't be tolerated. We're big boys. We can take constructive criticism. But we ask that you say, don't spray, your comments, or simply send your suggestions on how to make the board better to the moderating team. This is a web site for people who love the music of Roger, PH, Steve and Nick.

Thank you again for finding our new web page and contributing to our great community. Remember, the new site is up, but it's still not 100% yet. We invite you to check back regularly as we get all the bells and whistles of our new site up and running.

RCPM records LIVE in Teaneck, NJ, Circus Mexicus, and the new web site!!

Hóla, happy and amazing person!

The fall equinox is just a couple of weeks away, signaling the changes in seasons and life, the days are becoming shorter, the kids are back in school and another year older. The leaves are changing colors, and here in the Sonoran Desert, the monsoon showers that deliver needed rain to the parched soil will soon be ending all the while Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are back on the road and ready to rock in a city near you!

Now showing is the promised new and improved website. We're ready to give you what we think will be a more complete RCPM experience for both veterans and newcomers alike. Grab a bowl of popcorn, tune-in, and enjoy.

The New Orleans show has been canceled due to the city working to get back on its feet following Hurricane Gustav. We're wishing the city our best as it still has several big days ahead, including the return of evacuees back into their homes and restoring power. RCPM is looking forward to returning to New Orleans soon.

Beginning Sept. 9th in North Carolina, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are pleased to share the stage for several shows with Cowboy Mouth, straight from The Big Easy. Don't miss the chance to see two of rock's hardest touring bands under the same roof. It's a promised Rock-N-Roll celebration!

If that wasn't reason enough to get off the couch and make your way to a show, how about the chance to be a part of a live recording! Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers are proud to announce that their show Sept. 19th in Teaneck, New Jersey will be recorded live. Don't miss this chance to become a part of the magic that will be archived forever.

We are just a little over a month away from returning to that dirt lot next to the cantina for Circus Mexicus #17 on Oct. 11th. Tickets are on sale NOW! You can, as always, buy them at the gate. Or avoid the hassle of waiting in line and order today at www.peacetimegoods.com .
P.H. Naffah will once again host the charity BBQ "A Hot Dog and A Smile" on Oct. 10th at JJ's Cantina. Come on down a day early for a little extra fun in the sun and hot dogs. All proceeds will go to Esparanza Para Los Niños. Find out more about the orphange here: http://www.esperanzaparalosninos.com/
Are you an artist or an artist at heart? RCPM is going to host an art contest for the October 2008 "A Hot Dog & A Smile," t-shirt beginning NOW.
Please email your submission to info@azpeacemakers.com by midnight on September 20th. We will announce the winner on Monday September 22nd! Good Luck!

On Saturday, Seattle's Massy Ferguson will deliver their rockin, alt-country flavor of music before the weekend's main event. Don't forget on Sunday, Roger, PH, Steve, Nick and even the Massy guys will make their way back to JJ's for the Mañanathon, the semi-traditional Hangover Bash complete with discounted Bloody Marys. For exact times of events, stay tuned in!!

One final note, we'd like to give you a heads-up on a special performance Oct. 19 in Atlanta's long running Unplugged in the Park series. RCPM closes out their annual summer concert series with a free show. This will be a full length RCPM performance. Don't miss this chance to see the unique and intimate experience.

But wait, there's more! RCPM will be showing some love to the Northwest in November. Stay tuned for more details soon.

Thank you again for your continued support. And we look forward to seeing you on the road.

Here's to life!
