Rocky Point welcomes back RCPM and their fans for Circus Mexicus!

Dear fans of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers,

It is a pleasure to have you back in our city for yet another Roger Clyne Concert that will strengthen the ties between our people from both the United States and Mexico and other parts of the world.

We have followed over the years the success that this concert represents to our community bothin terms of visitors and the charities that benefit the less fortunate.

This concert coincides, as it did last year, with the Miss Sonora Beauty Contest to be held in Las Palomas where another girl from Mexico could become Miss Universe as it is currently from the State of Jalisco.

We have just had various events such as the Triathlon where we had over 650 participants and over 300 in beach volley ball with great success and Easter Week where we had over 120 thousand visitors with no incidents reported except for minor accidents.

On behalf of Mayor Alejandro Zepeda, we extend you a sincere welcome to our City of Puerto Peñasco where you can rest assured to feel at home and experience the warmth of our people and beautiful weather.

Enjoy your concert, enjoy the beach!!

Sincrely,
Fausto Cesar Soto

Circus Mexicus Weekend

DIA UNO - ¡BIENVENIDOS!

Friday, June 10

6 p.m. - Back by popular demand, PH's "A Hot Dog & A Smile" Charity BBQ at JJ's Cantina. PH will once again fire up the grill and serve his own Heaven on a Paper Plate. All proceeds go to benefit the children at Esperanza Para Los Niños Orphanage. You can find more information at http://www.esperanzaparalosninos.com/. Donations for household items such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies, paper towels, brushes, shampoo, soap, etc. will be collected. Donations for hot dogs and soda for the BBQ appreciated. Once again, Friday night at JJ's also features an incredible lineup of music headlined this year by The Hickman-Dalton Gang. Jim and Johnny will be on stage with their guitars late into the evening. And they're bringing a few friends to play with them, including Tony Nascar of The Railbenders, and a certain hot dog server might jump in behind the drums. Other folks playing that night include Jason Boots, Tramps and Thieves and Random Karma.

Lineup:

-5:00 p.m. - P.B.R.

- 6:00 p.m. - Random Karma

- 7:00 p.m. - Jason Boots

- 8:00 p.m. - Tramps and Thieves

- 9:00 p.m. - The Hickman Dalton Gang

Also, Aaron Beavers of Shurman will be at JJ's Friday night!

We're also encouraging those who will be playing in the Rock and Soccer Tournament the next morning to pick a team captain and pick up your team's jerseys and schedules at JJ's on Friday night.

DIA DOS - ¡CIRCUS MEXICUS FIESTA GRANDE!

Saturday, June 11

8:00 a.m. - Rock and Soccer. Mandatory check-in time for players in the second annual Rock and Soccer Tournament. Check-in will be on the beach in front of Wrecked at the Reef Cantina. There will be three fields this year.

8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. - Soccer tournament! We're on a tight schedule, so we need players in place and ready to play at their assigned times. Failure to do so may result in your team forfeiting. We understand you'll be at JJ's the night before. But last minute hangovers or players claiming they canceled their wake-up calls won't excuse you from being late. At stake is a certain soccer-playing lead singer who could miss sound check! All proceeds from the event benefit the Larry Large Foundation. For more than 10 years, the Foundation has contributed over $1 million dollars to the people of Puerto Peñasco. The charity has built homes for families, bathrooms for the elderly, given clothes to families and put computers in schools. More information can be found at www.larrydlargefoundation.org. Spectators are encouraged to show up and cheer on the teams. Live music will be provided throughout the day from people playing gringo rock-n-roll. The event is free for everyone!

All teams will get a minimum of three games. Socks are encouraged as the sand can be a little rough in addition to really hot by the afternoon. No sand shoes allowed. Mexican pork tacos and other great food and drinks will be for sale at Wrecked at the Reef.

To get to The Reef, turn left at the ONLY stop sign after condo row on Sandy Beach on your way to JJ's. It should be easy to spot because there a couple of events going on, so there will be a lot of cars and the RV lot will be full.

6 p.m. - Doors to Circus Mexicus, right next to Chango's Bar and Grill, open! Strolling mariachis.

7 p.m. - Shurman

8 p.m. - Main event, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers in concert!

Peacemaker Marketplace

Many of the amazing fans of Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers enjoy creating unique, original merchandise for their fellow Peacemakers.

Management at Peacetime Goods has been trying to find a way to encourage this spirit of creativity and come up with a way for fans to barter or sell their wares with the RCPM stamp of approval.

We’ve decided to set up a Peacemaker Marketplace during Circus Mexicus at JJ’s Cantina during Sunday’s Mañanathon. This will be the time and place for fans who love to make RCPM things to show and sell their goods to others.

There will be a few simple guidelines:

1) A table will be provided at JJ’s Cantina on Sunday June 12th during the Mañanathon. The first 10 people who sign up will be allowed to participate. Those interested can sign up by contacting management@peacetimegoods.com

2) All sales will be cash only

3) Each Marketplace participant will be required to pay 10% of their total sales as a licensing fee to RCPM. RCPM will then donate all of that money to the Ezperanza Orphanage for this year’s trial run of the Marketplace.

4) Previously licensed goods or copyrighted recordings will not be allowed. In other words, no selling of used RCPM goods or cds. Also, no selling of bootleg audio or video recordings of RCPM or The Refreshments. Our long standing policy of trading bootlegs amongst fans is still permissible on our web pages. If you have questions about your product idea please contact Peacetime Goods.

This will be a on a trial basis this year. Good luck and see you in Mexico!

Mexico Auto Insurance and Ammex

Peacemakers,

The smell of fish tacos while kicking back next to the Sea of Cortez while drinking a margarita mixed with Mexican Moonshine is right around the corner.

To help get you ready for CMXX, we want to give you a couple of reminders:

1) Make sure your passport or passport card is updated and in order.

2) If you plan on driving in Mexico, make sure you get Mexican auto insurance before you leave.

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are happy to be working again this year with Ammex Insurance. They represent the most reputable Mexican insurance companies and have a U.S. phone number for customer service in case you need help filing a claim.

Check out Ammex for the best prices on Mexican auto insurance. You can fill out a form online at www.ammexinsurance.com and avoid waiting in lines at the border to purchase insurance!

We'll see everyone at CMXX!

Hot Dog & A Smile

It won't be long now until we're all standing side-by-side in the cantina, talking to old amigos y amigas and making new friends, drinking cervezas and Mexican Moonshine and eating hot dogs served up by PH Naffah.

Circus Mexicus XX is almost here!

PH's annual Hot Dog & A Smile charity BBQ at JJ's Cantina will mark the beginning of CMXX weekend on Friday, June 10. Come enjoy a hot dog served up by Mr. Naffah who will don his apron and light his grill again for charity. All proceeds from the BBQ benefit the children at Esperanza Para Los Niños Orphanage. You can find more information at http://www.esperanzaparalosninos.com/. Donations for household items, such as toiletries, will also be collected at JJ's that evening.

Friday night at JJ's has become one of the most popular events at Circus Mexicus, and this year promises to be no different.

Kick back on JJ's patio next to Cholla Bay with your hot dog, cold beverage and watch The Hickman-Dalton Gang, Tramps & Thieves, Jason Boots and Random Karma perform on the main stage.

The BBQ and the concert are free and open to everyone.

Friday will also be your first chance to pick up your wristbands at will call for Saturday's main event with Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers. Will call will be open at JJ's from 6 to 9 p.m.

It's going to be the best Circus Mexicus weekend ever. And it starts Friday night at JJ's with Hot Dog & A Smile.

The Spirit of Sonoran Sand Soccer

Hóla Peacemakers!

The time has come again. RCPM is gearing up to host our 20th Circus Mexicus (CMXX)! The weekend of June 10-12 will be full of fun in the sand and sunshine, and rock and roll and revelry under the Moonshine! The festivities begin on Friday evening at JJ’s Cantina for our Hot Dog and a Smile Charity BBQ (to benefit La Esperanza Orphanage), continue on Saturday at Wrecked at the Reef (Rock and Soccer Tourney) and at Chango’s (RCPM Concert) and move back to JJ’s for the Mañanathon on Sunday.

On Saturday, June 11th, we’ll be hosting our second annual Rock and Soccer beach soccer tournament. Last year’s tournament was a blast and we can’t wait to play again. As of this writing, my team, Mexican Moonshine, has reigned for 333 golden, bliss-filled, halcyon days as the sovereign and benevolent victors of last year’s competition and as undisputable Campeones del Mundo. Today, we have 32 days of bragging rights remaining until we must defend our title! We invite you to assemble or join a team and compete for bragging rights for the following year. Bring friends and family to cheer everyone on! It’s all in good fun and for a good cause.
Player registration fee is $30, and each player will receive an Adidas Official Rock and Soccer jersey. Proceeds from team registration and sponsorship will again benefit Rocky Point’s Larry D. Large Foundation (www.larrydlargefoundation.org).

We’ll be setting up two fields on the beach in front of Wrecked at the Reef Cantina.
Players must be at least 16 years old. Teams will consist of 8 players, will be co-ed (we encourage a 50/50 mix of genders) and must (should) consist of at least 6/2 mix of genders. Matches will be 5-a-side during play, unlimited substitutions, and will consist of 2 fifteen (15) minute periods.
Games will begin on Saturday morning (rockandsoccer11@yahoo.com with questions) and continue via double elimination until the 2011 Campeones del Mundo emerge as this year’s proud victors. All players from all levels of play are welcome. And though this will be a World Championship tournament, please lead your team’s play with fun, fairness, sportsmanship and safety. We want this to be a long-term, all inclusive, fun event for years to come. There will be a third field there too, for anyone who wishes to get in a friendly game. So come, play, cheer, lounge at a sea-side cantina and be a part of this glorious event!

To register, go to www.peacetimegoods.com click the Circus Mexicus section and then click on the Rock and Soccer link.

Play on!

Bus trip to Circus Mexicus XX

As we get ready to go down together to celebrate life through rock-n-roll next to the Sea of Cortez for Circus Mexicus XX, we want to let you know about a deal our friends at Peñasco Recreation are offering.

How would you like to let someone else do the driving down to Rocky Point and then avoid the lines getting back across the border on Sunday?

Peñasco Recreation is offering fans a seat on a bus that will pick you up from Four Peaks in Tempe on Friday morning and return Sunday night. That means you will get to attend PH's Hot Dog & A Smile at JJ's featuring The Hickman-Dalton Gang, the main concert by Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers on Saturday night, attend the Mañanathon at JJ's on Sunday and then hop in the commercial bus lane at the border.

The bus will leave Four Peaks at 10 am on Friday, June 10. It will arrive at the Sonoran Sea and Spa at about 2:30 p.m. The bus will then be available to take people to JJ's at 5:30 p.m. and return to the resorts at 11 p.m. (you can always take a 10 minute cab ride if you want to leave earlier or stay longer).
On Sunday, June 12, the bus will head back to JJ's at 11 a.m. and then leave straight from the Mañanathon back to the U.S. at 2 p.m., arriving back at Four Peaks approximately 7 p.m.

The cost for this trip is $135 per person. If you buy four or more tickets, the price drops to $125 per ticket.

Peñasco Recreation can also help book your room at the time of your bus ticket purchase if you are still in need of lodging.

Same rules apply as if you were driving down in your own vehicle...you still need a passport or passport card.

Reservations can be made either by emailing mexicoruss@gmail.com or by calling Russ at 928-203-6180. You can also try his Mexico number at 638-113-4591. Or if you get down to Mexico and have questions, feel free to call. He's happy to help out with any inquiry you have.

He can also answer questions about luggage, which should be kept to two bags and a carry on. A cooler does count as a carry on and needs to be able to fit in your personal space on the bus.

We would also like to know if there is any interest in organizing a second bus from Tucson! If you think you'd be interested in taking a charter bus from Tucson to Rocky Point, please post on our Facebook page.

Travel like a rock star on a tour bus to Rocky Point for Circus Mexicus XX.

Circus Mexicus XX/Hot Dog & A Smile/Your CM Memories

Peacemakers,

Just one month from today we'll be kicking back at JJ's Cantina, eating a hot dog served up by PH Naffah, sipping Mexican Moonshine and listening to Colorado's infamous guitar duo, The Hickman-Dalton Gang, Tramps and Thieves, Random Karma and Jason Boots!

Circus Mexicus XX weekend, which kicks off with PH's annual Hot Dog & A Smile charity event at JJ's Cantina, is just one month away.

We've got a front row table next to the stage reserved just for you, if you can win our latest contest:

This year will be our 20th Circus Mexicus celebration. Starting on the roof of the Sunset Cantina, moving into the dirt lot next door for many years, and now at our current home in the sand next to Chango's, we've had a lot of great memories over the years.

We want you to put together a video or slideshow giving us your best memories of celebrating life through rock-n-roll at Circus Mexicus weekend. Was it the infamous rain storm? Was it the year the band dressed in Mariachi uniforms? Tell us!

We want you to put together a 3 minute video, then either post it on our Facebook page or put it on You Tube and post a link to our Facebook wall. The best video will receive a reserved table at JJ's on Friday, June 10.

Please only use pictures or videos that you have permission to use. Do not use copyrighted material or pictures that someone else took that you don't have permission to use.

The deadline is June 1.

Let's see what you've got Peacemakers. Show us your memories of Circus Mexicus as we celebrate número XX!!!
