It's a rendezvous of kindred spirits. It's semi-professional tourists canceling their wake-up calls. It's Peacemakers like yourself packing panchos and sandals, throwing away their shoes and letting their cups overflow in the glow of the Mexican Moonshine. The tequila, cervezas, taco stands, sandy beaches, fireworks, high tides, ocean breeze and high spirits are waiting for you and RCPM's return on June 12 to Puerto Peñasco to celebrate life through rock-n-roll at Circus Mexicus 2010, presented by Chango's Rocky Point Bar and Grill. This year's lineup is nothing short of incredible!

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are pleased and very excited to announce that joining them for Circus Mexicus will be Colorado's infamous RAILBENDERS and EDDIE SPAGHETTI, lead singer of the equally infamous Supersuckers!

The festivities start Friday when PH Naffah dons an apron and fires up the grill at JJ's Cantina for his annual Hot Dog & A Smile fundraiser to raise money for the local orphanage. Providing the music for that night will be the hard country riffs of The Railbenders. Last year's show was arguably one of the best Friday nights at JJ's ever.

On Saturday, Eddie Spaghetti, backed by Tyson Murray, Tony Nascar and Graham Haworth of The Railbenders, will take the main stage in the sandy amphitheater just across the street from Chango's. Then it's the main event: more than four hours of the greatest music on the planet from RCPM.

Tickets for Circus Mexicus will go on sale at Peacetime Goods on April 1 for $30. They will also be sold at the door the day of the show for $35.

But if you can't wait until then to buy tickets, RCPM has a special offer that will allow you to get your tickets early AND save some money!

Circus Mexicus tickets will be on sale during RCPM's two-night stand at The Marquee in Phoenix on March 27 or March 28. As a thank you to everyone who attends those shows, tickets will be available for $25 those two nights ONLY!

UK Tour Starts Next Week!

When US indie-rock cult heroes The Refreshments folded in 1998, leaving behind a legacy of two major label albums, a string of hit singles and the theme to the hit animated TV series King Of The Hill; writer, singer and creative force, Roger Clyne must have pondered on the eternal question of 'where to now?'

The answer was unequivocal; go it alone. Clyne and Refreshments drummer PH Naffah recruited a guitarist and bass player, formed Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, and set about making their own mark on the musical landscape without the safety net of record company backing.

The result? RCPM became the only independent band to debut in the Top 10 on Billboard's Internet Sales chart for six consecutive albums, including two number one entries. Firmly entrenched in the independent ethos, RCPM are proof positive that quality music does not have to fit into the framework laid down by the major players to survive, and indeed, thrive. Paste Magazine neatly summed things up when they said “Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers are proof that the crazy, reckless, restless, swaggering soul of American Rock is still burning a hole in the night sky.”
2010 sees the start of the next stage of the RCPM quiet revolution, with the band's first foray into the UK with a string of club dates, giving fans a flavour of their renowned high-octane stage presence in advance of the summer festival season. The full schedule of dates is as follows:

The sound of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers owes as much to the punky, power-pop of the late-seventies as it does to the traditional American rock influences of Tom Petty and Springsteen. Like other South-West icons Alejandro Escovedo and Joe Ely, RCPM are unafraid to cross boundaries with their music, and will mix tales of banditos from somewhere-down-Mexico-way with subtle observations of the human condition amongst tequila shots and good-time anthems. All this set against a backdrop of riff-rich driving guitar, and melodic, memorable choruses, while unmistakable echoes of Mariachi and Spanish phrasing drift in and out of their music.
These UK dates will also feature some of the finest up-and-coming UK artists and bands.

January Jam III @ JJ's Cantina at Cholla Bay in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico is just about here! It's been a few months since we've all traveled down together, so here are a few reminders for you Rocky Point veterans and some tips for all our new friends joining us for the first time.

The show is SOLD OUT. If you previously purchased tickets on-line, you can pick up your passes Saturday at JJ's starting at noon. No extra tickets will be available at the door.

Traveling to Rocky Point:


· If you haven't been there before and need directions, please check our "Circus Mexicus" page at www.azpeacemakers.com or our Circus Mexicus Facebook page. Remember, the border is closed at Lukeville from midnight to 6 a.m.


· Don't drive on E. There are plenty of gas stations in the towns on the way to Rocky Point, but not so much in between. The hour drive from Sonoyta to Peñasco, in particular, is nothing but desert. A lot of fans fill their tanks (and make a pit stop!) in Lukeville before crossing the border.


· Caravans and carpools are always encouraged. It keeps everyone safe and no one gets lost! You can meet other fans just like yourself and arrange trips together on the message board at www.azpeacemakers.com or our Facebook pages.


· If you plan to do any driving any Mexico, we highly encourage you to get Mexican auto insurance.


· A passport or passport card is a must. Don't leave home without it!

Haiti Relief Drive at JJ's

Peacemakers,

As we prepare for a weekend of fun, fish tacos, Mexican Moonshine and rock-n-roll in Puerto Peñasco, we want to ask everyone to take just a couple of minutes to think about some people who are worried simply about survival.

As all of you know, the situation in Haiti left behind by the earthquake and its aftershocks has been catastrophic. Food, water and shelter are scarce. An estimated 2 million people are now homeless.

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers would like to show what a giving community the Peacemakers are by making a donation to the Red Cross for the Haiti relief effort. We know many of you likely have already made a contribution prior to now. But we ask if you can part with some loose change or just a couple of dollars...the cost of just one cerveza...it would go such a long way to help. We will have clearly marked areas at JJ's Cantina on Jan. 30 during our 3rd annual January Jam for donations. We are accepting cash donations only. Please no perishable food items or supplies at this time.

If you are not going Mexico this weekend but would still like to help, the Grand Canyon Chapter of the American Red Cross has information on its website on how you can donate.

"There’s no safety net when you operate as an indie. It’s not for everyone. If you want to test your dedication to the Muse, the art, your band, your team, go indie. Otherwise, don’t."
