Circus Mexicus June 6th!!!

The reviews are in, and Jim Dalton is one rockin' hombre!

"On a scale of 1 to 10, Jim's debut was at least an 11! "

"Jim Dalton was absolutely solid, did not miss a step."

"...damn that cat can play!"

That's just a sampling of the many positive reviews fans have posted on RCPM's message board about The Peacemakers' new lead guitarist, the unflappable James "JD" Dalton. The first leg of the 2009 tour is underway and the boys are showing no signs of winter hibernation. The amps are plugged in, the tequila is being passed around, the crowds are singing and glasses are being raised each night to celebrate life through rock-n-roll. Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers will be on tour all spring. Check www.azpeacemakers.com to find out when the band is coming to your area.

Need a reminder of where and when RCPM is playing? Want daily updates on what our swashbuckling pirates, banditos and beachbums are up to? Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are now on Twitter! If you'd like to get daily "tweets" from RCPM, sign up for your own Twitter page, look up "azpeacemakers" and friend us. Daily updates on where The Peacemakers are playing, who's being interviewed, and any breaking RCPM news will posted on the Twitter page for you to follow. One of the advantages of Twitter is you can have messages sent to your mobile device. For those who don't have time to be on the message board everyday, Twitter is a great way of keeping up on RCPM happenings until your return visit to www.azpeacemakers.com.

And speaking of outstanding shows, it's time again to start thinking about orange sunsets sinking into the bay, taco stands and Mexican Moonshine. Start making your travel plans now for the biggest RCPM concert event of the year...Circus Mexicus 2009.

Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers are proud to announce Circus Mexicus in Rocky Point on Jun. 6, sponsored this year by our new friends at Chango's Rocky Point Bar & Grill. Tickets will go on sale April 1st for $28 through our website at www.peacetimegoods.com. Tickets will be $30 day of the show.

Pack your toothbrush and sandals and join old amigos and new compadres as we reconvene on the beaches near the bay, pass around cervezas, tequilas and sweet rums to celebrate life through rock-n-roll with the familiar songs we all know and love. This year, Roger, PH, Nick and Jim are very excited to welcome the greatest rock-n-roll audience on the planet to a new venue. This year's show will be in a lot near the Sonoran Sea and Sonoran Spa resorts, and the entrance to Las Palmas, between the ocean and Sandy Beach Road and near Chango's Rocky Point Bar and Grill. Circus Mexicus 2009 promises to deliver the same powerful, no holds barred, uncompromising show fans have come to expect, at a new location that will make for another unforgettable evening.

This year RCPM welcomes Dead Rock West, from Los Angeles, to the opening slot (7pm) on Saturday night. This intense and mysteriouis five-member Americana band blends roots rock melodies with a punk rock attitude. You can find out more about them at http://www.deadrockwest.com/.

For hotel reservations you can still contact our good friends at Fiesta Beach travel, at www.fiestabeachtravel.com.

PH Naffah will be at JJ's Cantina on Friday, June 5 for his annual Hot Dog and a Smile charity event to raise money for the children of Esparanza para los Niños. Let PH grill up a hot dog for you, and then sit back and relax with other fans while enjoying live music courtesy of Colorado's Best Country band The Railbenders, featuring RCPM's Jim Dalton. For more info on JD's outlaw country outfit, go to www.railbenders.com. Then, with the music still ringing in your ears from Saturday's concert, return to JJ's on Sunday for Bloody Marys during the 2009 Mañanathon.

Remember, you will need a passport or passport card this time. If you don't have one and you haven't applied for one, do it TODAY! Come June 1, the new passport rules go into effect, and customs officials at the border will be strictly enforcing them. An RCPM board member recently applied for passports for the entire family (five members) in January. The passports arrived in about 4 weeks. So please DON'T WAIT until the last minute to apply for your passport. Should there be a big rush of last minute applications come mid-May, your passport could be delayed. We don't want you missing out on what's sure to be one of the most memorable concert experiences of the year. So please send in your passport application information as early as possible. For information about passports, go to: http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738_2.html. For information on passport cards, go to: http://travel.state.gov/passport/ppt_card/ppt_card_3926.html

There have also been some concerns in recent weeks about the safety of traveling through Mexico. Rocky Point is safe. It has not experienced any of the violence being reported in cities elsewhere on the mainland. As when traveling anywhere, use common sense; obey local laws and customs and conduct yourself responsibly. RCPM will continue to keep you up to date on the safety of traveling to Mexico. Stay tuned into www.azpeacemakers.com for the latest.

There was an excellent article written recently about tourism concerns in Mexico and how Rocky Point proudly remains a safe and inviting community. You can find it here:

So brush off your sombreros, find your dark sunglasses, get those passports in order and prepare to go down together with us for the only one and only Circus Mexicus event of 2009.

Gracias,

RCPM
